| Obverse description | Facing janiform head of a bearded male deity, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair swept back on both sides and a full beard with carefully delineated strands. The visage is presented frontally, with deeply modelled facial features including pronounced brow ridges, broad nose, and slightly parted lips, characteristic of the archaic-to-classical transitional style of Mysian coinage. The field is plain, with no inscription or additional device. This iconic facing-head type is the hallmark obverse design of Lampsakene gold staters of this period. |
