正面描述 A Nereid, rendered nude in fine Classical style, is depicted seated left astride a dolphin leaping to the left, the creature's body forming the base of the composition. The figure holds a pair of greaves (knemides) raised in her right hand and a round hoplite shield in her left, both rendered with considerable relief and detail. The musculature and pose of the Nereid convey dynamic movement, characteristic of the high-quality engraving associated with Lampsakene gold coinage of the fourth century BC. The field is plain, with no legend or inscription. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, as typical of hammered Greek gold staters.

背面描述 The forepart of Pegasus is depicted in bold relief, oriented to the right, with the winged horse's head raised and mouth open, conveying a sense of vigorous energy. The large, elaborately feathered wings are spread upward and to the left, rendered with finely incised striations to suggest individual feathers, a hallmark of Lampsakene die-engraving. The forelegs are shown bent as if in mid-gallop, and the chest musculature is well modelled. The field is plain and uninscribed, consistent with the broader series of Lampsakene gold staters. The flan is irregular, characteristic of hammered coinage of the period.
