| Obverse description | A harpy depicted in profile facing left, rendered in the archaic style characteristic of Kyzikene coinage. The creature holds a tunny fish by its tail in her outstretched right hand, a motif emblematic of Kyzikos and its maritime identity, while her raised left hand is brought toward her chin in a gesture of contemplation. The figure is modeled in relatively high relief against a plain, unadorned field. The tunny, a hallmark device of this mint, serves both as an ethnic identifier and as a symbol of the city's prominence in Black Sea trade. |

| Reverse description | A quadripartite incuse square occupies the entire reverse, divided into four equal recessed compartments by a raised cross-shaped ridge, the result of the hammered striking technique employed at Kyzikos. The incuse is deeply impressed and irregular at the outer edges, reflecting the characteristic fabric of early electrum coinage from this mint. The four compartments are plainly undecorated, with no lettering or subsidiary devices, conforming to the standard reverse type of Kyzikene staters throughout the archaic and early classical periods. |
