| Obverse description | Herakles depicted nude, kneeling in the canonical pose to left, his right arm raised over the shoulder bearing a club and his left hand grasping a horn (rhyton); a tunny fish, the civic badge of Kyzikos, is placed in the field behind the figure. The relief is bold and crisply rendered in the archaic-to-classical style characteristic of Kyzikene electrum coinage. |

| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square with four recessed compartments divided by raised intersecting bands, a hallmark of early struck coinage; the incuse is deep and well-defined, typical of fifth-century Kyzikene electrum staters. The field within each quadrant shows a granular texture resulting from the hammered striking technique. |
