| Beschrijving voorzijde | Nude male figure, identified as a satyr or youth, depicted in the characteristic Archaic running-kneeling pose (figura kurouphoros), facing left with right knee bent to the ground. The figure wears a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head and holds a large fish horizontally before him with both hands, the tunny (tuna) being the emblematic device of Kyzikos. The musculature is rendered with confident Archaic draftsmanship, and the composition fills the broad, irregular flan with dynamic energy. No legend or inscription appears in the field. |
