| Beschrijving voorzijde | Forepart of a tunny fish (tuna) depicted in left profile occupying the lower portion of the flan, rendered with incised detail; above, the forepart of a bridled horse or similar animal facing left, shown in high relief. The tunny fish, a hallmark emblem of Kyzikos, is boldly modelled in the archaic style characteristic of early Ionian coinage. No legend or inscription appears on the obverse. The flan is irregular and exhibits the typical bean-shaped fabric of early electrum coinage from the region. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Quadripartite incuse square divided into four recessed compartments by a raised cross, the standard reverse type of archaic Kyzikene electrum staters produced by the hammered punch technique. The four sunken quarters display irregular surfaces consistent with the use of a square punch die. No inscription or subsidiary device is present. This incuse square reverse is typical of Archaic Greek coinage of the late 6th to early 5th century BC. |
