| Описание реверса | A quadripartite incuse square dominates the entire reverse, formed by two intersecting raised ridges dividing the surface into four rectangular recessed compartments of roughly equal size. The incuse is deeply struck and well-centred on the irregular flan, with each quadrant exhibiting a slightly granular texture characteristic of the hammered incuse punch technique. This reverse type is the standard design employed on Kyzikene electrum staters throughout the archaic and early classical periods, serving a functional rather than decorative purpose. The plain, unlettered design confirms the absence of any mint inscription, consistent with the anonymous civic coinage tradition of Kyzikos. |
