Obverse description Bearded head of Herakles facing right, depicted in three-quarter relief with strong, naturalistic modeling. The hero wears the lion's skin knotted at the throat, with the scalp and forepaws draped over his head and neck. The curling beard and pronounced facial features are rendered in the vigorous Cilician style characteristic of the fourth century BC.
