| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square occupying the full reverse field, divided by raised ridges into four equal recessed compartments in a windmill or pinwheel arrangement, a hallmark of archaic Greek coinage technique. The incuse is deeply struck with crisp, well-defined raised borders framing each quadrant. The surface within the compartments retains the characteristic rough texture resulting from the hammer blow of the reverse punch. No legend or subsidiary devices are present, consistent with the anonymous civic coinage of Kyzikos. |
