Reverse description A quadripartite incuse square dominates the reverse field, divided by raised ridges into four recessed compartments of alternating smooth and granular texture, creating a windmill-like pattern characteristic of early Greek hammered coinage. The deep, sharply defined incuse is the result of the punch technique used during striking, with no legend or additional device present. The irregular flan edge is typical of Kyzikene electrum staters of this period.
