| Beschrijving keerzijde | Quadripartite incuse square, divided into four equal recessed compartments by a raised cross, each quadrant displaying a granular or rough texture typical of archaic hammered coinage technique. The incuse punch is deeply impressed and centrally placed on the flan, which retains the irregular, unstruck edge characteristic of hand-produced electrum staters. No legend or subsidiary devices are present. This reverse type is standard for Kyzikene electrum staters throughout their long production history and served primarily as a die countermark to ensure metal distribution across the flan. |
