| Obverse description | Eagle standing in three-quarter view to left, perched atop a Ionic capital or voluted base, with wings folded and head turned sharply upward. To the right of the eagle, a slender olive branch with stylized leaves rises from the field. The rendering is in fine intaglio relief characteristic of the Krotoniate artistic tradition, with careful attention to the bird's plumage and posture. The flan is irregular and the field is otherwise plain. |

| Reverse description | A large tripod cauldron dominates the field, rendered in fine incuse relief with two prominent legs flanking a central support and a rounded bowl with voluted handles. To the right of the tripod, the retrograde ethnic inscription ϘPO (for Kroton) is arranged vertically in archaic Greek letters. To the left of the tripod, a small olive branch with a bud or leaf is visible in the field. A dotted border runs along the lower periphery of the flan. The design is characteristic of Krotoniate coinage, where the tripod — a symbol of Apollo — served as the primary civic emblem. |
