| Descrizione del dritto | Frontal facing bust of Emperor Tiberius II Constantine, rendered in the hieratic Byzantine style, wearing an elaborate pearl-studded crown surmounted by a cross, with pendilia (hanging jeweled pendants) falling on either side of the face. The emperor is draped in imperial loros and cuirass, with the collar richly decorated with a row of pellets. A cross potent on stepped base is visible to the left of the effigy, serving as an imperial scepter. The Latin legend DN TIBER CONSTANT PP AVG (Dominus Noster Tiberius Constantinus Perpetuus Augustus) runs around the periphery of the flan. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | A cross potent on a four-stepped base (globus cruciger on steps) dominates the central field, rendered in bold relief typical of Constantinopolitan solidus production of the late sixth century. The field is plain, emphasizing the Christian symbolism of the cross as the emblem of imperial authority. The Latin legend VICTORI-A AVGG (Victoria Augustorum) runs around the circumference, divided by the cross motif, with the mint and officina mark CONOB inscribed in the exergue, confirming production at the Constantinople mint to the standard of 24 carats. |
