Reverse description Frontal bust of the young co-emperor Constantine V, depicted without beard, wearing a jewelled crown topped by a cross, and clothed in the imperial loros with detailed bead-work. He holds a cross potent on globe in his right hand and the akakia in his left, mirroring the imperial iconographic formula of the obverse. The facial features are rendered in the flat, stylized Byzantine manner with large eyes and prominent nose. The surrounding legend, partially legible on this hammered flan, identifies the co-emperor by name in a blend of Latin and Greek abbreviation.
