Reverse description A cross potent mounted on three steps occupies the central field, flanked on either side by the co-emperors Heraclius (left) and Tiberius (right), both standing facing in full frontal posture. Each figure is crowned and draped in the imperial chlamys, holding a globus cruciger in the hand. The composition emphasizes the dynastic triad and the Christian triumphalism characteristic of middle Byzantine coinage. The exergue bears the mint and officina marks, with the legend disposed in two lines across the upper and lower fields.
