| Obverse description | Central field features the ornate crowned royal cypher of King Oscar I, composed of an interlaced script monogram surmounted by a large royal crown with cross finial. Three smaller crowns — emblems of Sweden — are positioned flanking the monogram at left, right, and below, the latter resting on a foliate scroll base. The circular legend RÄTT OCH SANNING (Right and Truth), the royal motto of Oscar I, arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin characters within a raised border. |
