The Corieltauvi occupied a territory roughly corresponding to the East Midlands, and their coinage developed largely in isolation from the more Romanized southeastern tribes. This type predates any named ruler on Corieltauvian coins — the tribe wouldn't adopt inscribed issues until the late 1st century BC, leaving attribution dependent entirely on find-spot distribution and stylistic analysis.
