| Obverse description | Stylised Celtic head facing left, rendered in the characteristic curvilinear La Tène artistic tradition. A distinctive duck-billed or beak-like motif projects prominently above the head, serving as the type's defining element and giving this issue its collector designation. A small zoomorphic creature or pellet motif is visible in the field before the face. The facial features, including a pronounced eye rendered as a pellet-in-ring, are executed in bold relief typical of late Iron Age British coinage. The flan is irregular, with no inscription or legend. |
