The hair is depicted as a series of prominent dolphin-shaped curls arranged around the cranium, a distinctive artistic convention of the Trinovantian coinage tradition. The facial features include strongly modelled lips formed by plant-stalk motifs, with pellet and crescent ornaments filling the field around the bust. The overall design reflects the abstract, decorative transformation of the classical laureate head prototype common to British Celtic coinage of this period. |
