正面描述 Stylised boar advancing left, rendered in the Celtic abstract tradition, with distinctive Y-shaped forelegs and a long uncurled tail; spines or bristles are occasionally present along the dorsal line. A spoked wheel motif sometimes appears in the upper field above the boar. The field is populated with ringed pellets disposed around the central motif. On certain specimens the design is partially obliterated, leaving only a portion of the boar visible.

附加信息

The Corieltauvi occupied a large territory across what is now Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, and Nottinghamshire, and their coinage is notable for being issued collectively rather than under named rulers — an arrangement unique among British Iron Age tribes. This fractional piece belongs to a denominational system whose subdivisions were likely used in high-frequency local exchange rather than tribute payments, which tended to involve heavier units.

The BMC Iron Age reference numbers 3238–3239 place this among a small, closely related die group.
