Obverse description Central field bearing a double-corded cross dividing the flan into four quadrants, with a cogwheel motif at the intersection. In two diagonally opposite angles, solar symbols are rendered as spirals and pellet-in-ring motifs with radiating rays, evoking celestial imagery characteristic of late Iron Age Celtic art. The remaining two alternate angles each contain a pellet-in-ring motif encircled by an additional ring. The overall composition reflects the abstract geometric and cosmological iconography typical of the Atrebatic coinage tradition.
