| Beschrijving keerzijde | A bold central cross pattée occupies the full field, dividing the coin into four quarters. In alternating quadrants, a pontifical mitre and crossed keys of Saint Peter are repeated, referencing papal authority and the apostolic see. The cross terminals are embellished with fleurs-de-lis or similar decorative finials, visible particularly at the upper arm. The surrounding legend, inscribed in uncial Latin characters between two concentric borders, invokes Saint Peter. The overall composition follows the standard reverse type of Avignonese and Venaissin papal billon coinage of the early fifteenth century. |
