Obverse description Bare head of Augustus facing left, rendered in the Roman provincial style typical of Caesaraugusta coinage. The portrait displays the characteristic features of Augustan iconography, with a short fringe of hair across the forehead. The legend C CAESAR AVGV F runs along the periphery of the flan, partially visible around the bust. The flan is irregular and somewhat worn, as is common for hammered bronze issues of this period and region.
