Obverse descriptionThe medal is made of 37 mm diameter stones with a silver patina design. On the front, the Anjou-era (Gothic) coat of arms of our country can be seen decorated with the Hungarian Holy Crown. Under the shield, two crossed swords from the era of St. Stephen can be seen. He is surrounded by a wreath of laurel branches on the left and cypress leaves on the right.

Reverse descriptionOn the back is a military steel helmet, with the years 1914-1918 underneath. The inscription PRO DEO ET PATRIA /FOR GOD AND HIS COUNTRY/ is written in the upper circular arch, and a palm branch held together with a ribbon in the lower arch.
