| Reverse description | A large six-pointed or multi-pointed star occupies the central field, rendered in bold relief with a geometric, angular form consistent with hammered medieval coinage practice. The star's arms taper toward the rim, and faint traces of a border are discernible around the perimeter of the irregular flan. The field surrounding the star is plain and slightly concave, reflecting the single-die striking technique common to Carinthian pfennigs of this period. A partial legend, tentatively read as [FRIACENSIS?], may appear along the periphery, though it is largely illegible on most specimens. |
