| 裏面の説明 | The reverse, typical of this hammered single-sided or uniface pfennig type, displays the incuse mirror impression of the obverse design, showing the helmeted ducal bust in intaglio relief as a result of the hammering process. The surface is flat and worn, with the flan's irregular border visible around the recessed image. No inscriptions or additional design elements appear on this face. |

Albert II ("the Lame") ruled Austria from 1330 until his death in 1358 despite a debilitating illness — likely gout or a paralytic condition — that left him largely immobile from 1330 onward. His long reign was administratively stable, and the Vienna mint operated under consistent ducal oversight throughout. The CNA B 241 type belongs to a pfennig tradition that had been the backbone of Austrian regional commerce since the Babenberg period, continuing largely unbroken under the early Habsburgs.
These bracteate-influenced thin pfennigs circulated heavily in local trade and wore quickly; survivors in crisp condition are genuinely scarce.
