Obverse description Uniface hammered bracteate-style design featuring four heraldic shields arranged in a cruciform pattern, their points meeting at the center, with stylized heads occupying the quadrants between the shields. Small rosettes are interspersed in the field between the design elements, filling the available space in the characteristic manner of medieval Austrian pfennig coinage. The overall composition is contained within an irregular round flan typical of hammered silver coinage of the mid-fourteenth century.
