| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing three-quarter bust of King Stephen, crowned, with a sceptre held in the left hand. The effigy is rendered in the angular, stylised manner typical of late Anglo-Norman hammered coinage. A beaded inner circle frames the design, with the royal legend disposed around the periphery of the flan. The portrait exhibits the characteristic crude yet expressive die-cutting of the Anarchy period moneyers. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A voided cross pommée set within a quatrefoil, with fleurs-de-lis in each of the four angles formed between the arms of the cross and the quatrefoil frame. The moneyer's name and mint name are arranged in the legend around the periphery of the flan, separated by pellets or annulets. The design is characteristic of the 'Awbridge' type, representing one of the final issues of Stephen's reign, struck with the angular, hand-cut dies typical of mid-twelfth century English hammered silver coinage. |
