Reverse description A bold cross fleury (cross fleurée) occupies the central field, with each arm terminating in stylised fleur-de-lis flourishes. A small annulet is placed at the centre of the cross where the arms intersect. The design is executed in the characteristic flat, incuse hammered relief of Anglo-Norman pennies. A circular legend surrounds the cross, naming the moneyer and mint, divided by the arms of the cross into quadrants.
