(Translation: King Edward)
Reverse description A small cross pattée, with equal squared arms, is centrally positioned within a raised inner circle that occupies the majority of the reverse field. The plain, unadorned field within the inner circle contrasts with the bold relief of the cross. Between the inner circle and the outer beaded border, the moneyer and mint legend is arranged clockwise, identifying the issuing moneyer and his place of production in the characteristic Anglo-Saxon formula.
