| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of King Eadred facing right, rendered in the bold, schematic style characteristic of late Anglo-Saxon coinage. The effigy features a prominent helmet or crown with a single visible point, and the drapery is indicated by incised lines across the shoulder.
