Obverse description Facing bust of King Stephen within a inner circle, the king depicted in a stylised, flat hammered manner typical of the Anarchy period. The bust is flanked by pellets and ornamental devices in the field. A cross moline appears prominently at centre, with moline terminals splaying outward into the surrounding field. The circumscription STEPHANUS R runs around the periphery in Latin letters, partially visible on this irregular flan.
