Reverse description
Fire altar with attendants and figure of Bahram on the altar. Duck makes numerous appearances on the Sasanian silver works from plates and dishes to fabrics. Duck given its ability to be on land as well as water and air makes it a specially important animal in the hierarchy of animals in Sasanian culture.
