Obverse description Central design depicts a radiant Phrygian cap (gorro frigio) emitting bold sunrays, positioned above a stylized mountain landscape with a cactus at lower left and a winged figure at lower right. The mint mark 'M' appears in the central field beneath the cap. The lower portion of the field bears the inscription 'UN DECIMO OZ. PLATA PURA' in three lines. The coin is encircled by a toothed or dentilated border, characteristic of Mexican bullion trial pieces of this era.
