Obverse description Facing left, the helmeted head of Athena rendered in archaic style, the Attic helmet covering the skull with cheek guards clearly delineated. The portrait occupies the full flan on a plain, unadorned field, characteristic of early Lycian dynastic coinage. The die work is bold yet somewhat crude, reflecting provincial engraving traditions of the late fifth century BC.

Additional information

Kadyanda was a Lycian hill city whose dynasts issued coins during the period when Lycia operated as a loose confederation of semi-autonomous rulers under loose Achaemenid Persian suzerainty. The dynast name Hntruma is attested only through numismatic evidence — no inscription or literary source confirms the name independently, making coins of this type the sole historical record of his existence.
