Obverse description Bare head of Hermes in left profile, wearing a broad-brimmed petasos pushed back on the crown of the head. The youthful, clean-shaven effigy is rendered in fine archaic-to-classical Greek style, with well-defined facial features, a prominent nose, and short hair visible beneath the hat. The flan is irregular and the field is otherwise plain.
