| Beschrijving keerzijde | Reverse displaying a large Greek numeral M (denoting 40 nummi in standard Byzantine usage, though on this denomination it serves as a value mark) enclosed within a beaded circular border. A small pellet or officina mark appears beneath the M in the lower field. A cross or decorative element is visible above the M at the top of the design. The bold, deeply struck M dominates the field and is well-preserved relative to the obverse, consistent with the Ravenna mint's production style under Justinian I. |
