Obverse description Draped bust of Demeter facing left, her hair bound with a wreath of grain ears, adorned with a triple pendant earring and a pearl necklace. The portrait is rendered in the fine Italiote style characteristic of late fourth-century Metapontine coinage, with carefully modeled facial features and naturalistic treatment of the hair. The field surrounding the effigy is plain and unlettered.
