| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is dominated by a large voided long cross extending to the coin's edge and dividing the field into four quadrants, each containing a small heraldic or decorative motif — likely a lion or fleur-de-lis symbol — set within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend, in uncial characters, reads mOnETA FLAnD, proclaiming the coin as the lawful coinage of Flanders. A cross pattee precedes the legend as an initial mark. The execution is consistent with the rough, hand-struck technique employed at Flemish mints during the reign of John the Fearless. The reverse design follows the standard type for Flemish mites of this period. |
