Reverse description The central design features the large Marian monogram letter M surmounted by a cross resting on a horizontal bar, all in high relief. Beneath the monogram are two sacred hearts — the Sacred Heart of Jesus with flames and a crown of thorns on the left, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary with flames and a sword on the right. Twelve five-pointed stars are arranged around the field in a ring, and the word ITALY appears in the lower field.
