Reverse description The reverse field is entirely occupied by seven lines of Latin text in relief, recording the date of the proclamation of the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception (8 December 1854 in Roman calendar notation), followed by a verse from Psalm 118. The engraver's signature appears in small letters along the lower rim.
