Reverse description A standing draped and veiled allegorical figure of Piety (Pietas Augusta), facing left, extends her right hand toward the flame atop a tall ornate candelabra decorated with a cross on its base. Her left hand rests on her chest. The legend PIETAS AVGVSTA is divided across the upper field, with the engraver's name S. JACOBSON at lower right, and a two-line inscription in the exergue recording the tercentenary of the Reformation in 1817.
