Reverse description An allegorical standing female figure raises one arm triumphantly beside a tall flagpole from which the Norwegian flag unfurls, while a winged child angel assists at the base of the pole. To the right, a decorated pedestal bears an inscription. The date 1905 appears in the central field, with three key dates of Norwegian independence inscribed along the upper rim. A three-line legend in the lower exergue records the referendum result for dissolution of the union.
