Obverse description The obverse displays the heraldic achievement of Henry Benedict Stuart, Cardinal Duke of York, featuring a quartered shield bearing the royal arms of England, Scotland, Ireland, and France, surmounted by a ducal crown and a cardinal's galero with pendant tasseled cords on either side. The shield is flanked by elaborate acanthus scrollwork, with no surrounding legend, the design filling the entire field within a raised border.
