| 表面の説明 | Central field bears the Arabic word 'fals' (the denomination inscription) in bold relief above the Hijri date 1320, all contained within a raised circular border. The design is framed by a beaded inner ring and an outer toothed or serrated rim running the full circumference of the coin, typical of the milled Moroccan bronze coinage of the Alaoui dynasty under Sultan Abd al-Aziz. |

This small bronze was struck at Fes during the reign of Abd al-Aziz, a sultan whose authority was already fracturing under sustained European financial pressure. France and Spain were actively maneuvering toward the protectorate agreements that would formalize twenty years later, and the Moroccan treasury was chronically short — partly explaining why these fractional bronzes were minted in such quantities for everyday market use. The Y#14.2 designation distinguishes the Fes mint variety from the parallel Marrakesh striking, a separation that matters more to specialists than the coins' near-identical appearance suggests.
