Obverse description Central device depicting a stylized Gothic castle with three towers, the central tower taller and flanked by two shorter battlemented towers, all raised in high relief within a beaded inner circle. The structure features an arched gateway at its base, rendered in the characteristic medieval Castilian heraldic style. A circular legend runs between the beaded inner circle and the coin's irregular rim, partially legible due to the hammered flan. The letter 'S' (the mint mark for Segovia) is visible to the right of the castle within the field.
