Obverse description Central field dominated by a gothic-style turreted castle with three towers, the central tower rising prominently above two flanking towers, all rendered in low relief characteristic of hammered medieval coinage. The castle, emblematic of the Kingdom of Castile, rests on a baseline with an archway visible beneath the central tower. A partial circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, partially visible along the coin's irregular flan. The overall strike is typical of mid-15th century Castilian billon maravedis, with the design showing characteristic weakness due to the hammered production method.
