Obverse description Central field occupied by a three-line Arabic legend in angular script, reading 'Mehmed / ibn Murad / Khan, may his victory be glorified', enclosed within a single linear border. The date 855 AH (1451 AD) appears in Arabic numerals below the main legend. The flan is irregular and slightly lobate, typical of hammered copper coinage of the period, with a dotted border visible around the inner legend field. The overall style is characteristic of early Ottoman mangir production, with bold, deeply struck calligraphic strokes despite the utilitarian copper medium.
