| 背面描述 | The reverse bears a multi-line Cyrillic inscription arranged across the irregular flan, containing the full royal titulature of Tsar Vasiliy IV Shuisky. The legend reads ЦАРЬ И ВЕЛИКИЙ КНЯЗЬ ВАСИЛИЙ ИВАНОВИЧ ВСЕЯ РУСИ, translating as 'Tsar and Great Prince Vasiliy Ivanovich of all Russia'. The text is distributed in abbreviated lines across the field, consistent with the compact format necessitated by the small, irregularly shaped wire-money flan. Letter forms are characteristic of early 17th-century Russian Cyrillic epigraphy, with the inscription filling the available surface without a defined border. |

Vasiliy IV Shuysky ruled during the most chaotic stretch of the Time of Troubles, a period of successive pretenders, Polish intervention, and near-total state collapse. His coinage was struck under siege conditions in Moscow, with minting operations disrupted repeatedly as rival claimants — including the two separate imposters styling themselves Dmitriy — controlled large portions of Russian territory simultaneously. The wire-money technique used here, cutting slugs from drawn silver wire and striking with hand dies, meant output quality varied considerably even within a single day's production.
