| Obverse description | Crowned equestrian figure of the tsar depicted in right profile, mounted on a galloping horse and brandishing a spear — the classic 'kopeck horseman' (копейщик) motif characteristic of Muscovite wire money. The rider is shown in dynamic pose with the lance raised, the horse rendered in full gallop. Mint letters 'о М' (Moscow Mint) appear below the horse's hooves in the lower field. The design is struck on an irregular planchet cut from a silver wire rod, resulting in the characteristic elongated, lenticular form of Russian wire kopecks. |
